BCCI cricket disciplinary meeting on Aug 29

Mumbai: The next meeting of the Cricket Board Disciplinary Committee, probing charges of irregularities in running the IPL by suspended chairman Lalit Modi, will be held at Delhi on August 29.

“I got a call from Arun Jaitely (disciplinary committee member) who informed that the next meeting is to be held at 7 pm in Delhi Taj Palace hotel,” said Modi’s attorney Mahmood Abdi.

“This meeting was originally scheduled on the 18th but could not be held because committee member and union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was out of the country. The committee wanted it to be rescheduled on August 25 but our lawyers were not available,” Abdi said.

The three members of disciplinary panel comprising Jaitely, Scindia and Chirayu Amin held the meeting so far.
Asked whether Modi would appear before the committee on August 29, Abdi said,” No, he is still out of the country”.
